#TribesInTheDark: A FitD rewrite of #Tribe8RPG which Kickstarted earlier this year. It’s a wonderful setting that slipped into obscurity a couple of decades ago, though some of the background hadn’t aged well. I’m glad it’s back out there, but the taste I had of the new iteration wasn’t enough to convince me to back it. Paradoxically, I think, I needed to read the full rulebook before I could commit. Whilst I’ll play PbtA/FitD games, I don’t run them. (19/25)

Yesterday was one week until the #TribesInTheDark #ttrp Kickstarter. I noted it but was busy enough that it hadn't quite set in. I checked and we have 259 followers, which doesn't seem like a lot but it's enough. This is super exciting y'all. I'm anxious about but it in a good way.

I got the latest, and I think final, cover of #TribesInTheDark #TTRPG from @CITIZEN_OCHOA and I can't wait until we get final approval and I can share it. It's amazing and captures our vision.

We got the mostly finished #TribesInTheDark #TTRPG cover art from @CITIZEN_OCHOA and I can't wait to be able to show it off (and for it to be on the front of the book).

So we're playing a Tribe 8 game, the setting of which has... a lot of 90s in it. One of those bits is Ile Perdue, a dive with an S&M aesthetic.

I remember back in the 90s I envisioned this as a hard core, edgy place that characters would be hesitant to go into. But yesterday when the GM @rivetgeek said "it's basically an S&M bar" my immediate thought was, "oh, so the friendliest people on the island, with a healthy respect for consent."

We weren't able to play #TribesInTheDark #TTRPG today so instead I'm cleaning the oven. I really know how to live I guess.

We didn't play #TribesInTheDark today because adulting sucks and there were some conflicts. So a few of the players started on #TalesOfXadia #TTRPG characters for a backup game.

Session zero of #TribesInTheDark #TTRPG went really well. Got most of the character bookkeeping out of the way, lines and veils, and some good conversation and catching up. This group has good energy. Session .5 is next week when we get to break out Decuma.

I am looking for a fourth player in my #TribesInTheDark #FitD #TTRPG. tldr; you play outcasts in the ruins of Montreal centuries after a supernatural apocalypse. Think if Clive Barker, Neil Gaiman, and Guillermo del Toro created a setting. Session zero is planned for Feb 3rd about 11am PST (figure an hour wiggle room), 2-3 hours a week, via #roll20. Would like maybe a dozen sessions minimum. Just be 18+ and open tp collaborative group play, no other experience necessary.

I've decided to go with #Notion for organization and notes for the #TribesInTheDark game I'm planning. I went with it over #Obsidian because Notion is less hassle to sync and work with between my tablet and my laptop. I'm still using Obsidian for things where it's fine for it to live only on my laptop. #ttrpg

Some tinkering with a reskinned Vimary map for my #TribesInTheDark game I'm going to run on #Roll20. It's meant for just quick reference which is why the labels are kind of big. #ttrpg

So exciting watching just the rough layout of Tribes In the Dark come together. It was fun when I was doing bits and pieces of it myself, like the quickstart, but the back and forth of someone else putting out samples (and damn, he's fast) and then us giving input and then seeing it incrementally turn into something awesome is a "Fuck yeah" moment. We are inching towards this becoming a Real Thing.

I've been working on the player-facing Outlook sheets for the #TribesInTheDark #TTRPG. I'm torn between the middle and the right.
