This peony has pink shading to deep mauve/purple petals at the center. #TreePeonies tend to have some of the earliest blooms of the season. For our garden, the last blooms will come from pink herbaceous peony #SarahBernhardt.

#Paeonia x suffruticosa 'Shimano-fuji'. I don't know the origin of the cultivar, although with "Fuji" in the name one might expect Japan. Blooming now, very generously for its third year in my garden.
