So much talk about the Earth as viewed from the Moon, which is heady stuff, but consider that someday we'll be able to view the Earth (and Moon) transiting across the Sun from the surface of Mars. Found a cool blog post here that gets into it:

"In those days [my younger years] I merely wanted to know when the current crisis would end so I could get on with my life. I didn't understand that the crisis (or present transit) was the whole point--a precious opportunity to transform something within myself."

There’s nothing quite like waking up and feeling “off” then checking the current transits and being able to say, “oh is THAT why I feel like THIS?” #astrology #astroobservation #astro #transits

Btw, as of yesterday Nov 30, we entered into a First Quarter Moon.
This is the time to put some action behind your plans and intentions to bring them to life.
Decisions need to be made.
You will encounter challenges and obstacles that need to be overcome as you move towards your goals.
This is a time where more of your “yang” energy is needed.
Any reevaluations you need to make should happen now.
Take stock of how far you’ve come and where you’re heading.

I therefore looked at the next opportunities to observe it, especially from the ground, but also with the upcoming (at that time) #JWST. I thus plotted the visibility of the #target at the time of future #transits, OVER TWO DECADES.
BINGO ! The next transit was expected to be on 2019, November 25 and was expected to be well visible from the ground (the star is far away from the Sun). The next transit with similar visibility is only in 2036.

Who might be watching us at this moment? 🙂
"Astronomers have pinpointed more than 2,000 stars from where, in the not-too-distant past or future, Earth can occasionally be detected transiting across the face of the Sun."

Lovely infographics at the NY Times showing the transits of Mercury in the past.
If you can view the transit (not visible from my area of Asia), I hope you have a good view of it.
