Finally unpacked the horsehair raku pottery piece I bought at an art show in December in Arizona. I didn't realize how nicely it would fit in on the table behind my sofa. #SupportArtistsAndMakers

I bought art. This will always remind me of determination and perseverance. The artist, Cory Scott Milne, has a physical malady that prevents him from standing up straight and limits his mobility. Yet he sets up a big double booth by himself for these shows to sell original artwork and prints. Makes my whining about being here seem pretty dumb. I'll frame these and hang them in my studio where the birds can watch me and remind me how good I have it compared to others. #SupportArtistsAndMakers

And I finally sold one of my rings. This one is tiger eye and sterling silver. The silver was purchased when silver prices were way down so I was able to sell it at a reasonable price. #SupportArtistsAndMakers

New entertainment for Leavenworth. They apparently have a karaoke machine and are singing pop songs with beer-related lyrics. It's loud and obnoxious. A new low. But the dumbed down American tourist crowd is eating it up.

Do I sound like a cranky bitch? Well, I am feeling better now that I've sold this.

A woman wearing this stopped by the booth to tell me how much she loves her new pendant. Her husband, who bought it yesterday on the sly for her, was beaming beside her. I told her it looks great on her and that it glows and thanked them.

THIS is part of what makes doing #ArtShows worth the effort.

The biggest problem with doing these art shows is the hours. Yesterday ran from 7:30 to 6. Today ran from 9 to 6. Tomorrow will run from 10 to 7. I've got a 1 hr commute each way. I get home exhausted with just enough time to make and eat dinner and snuggle with my pups before it's time for bed.

It's like having a freaking job.😳

But I did pretty well today. I sold a few pendants and a lot of earrings. I'm really at the bottom of the barrel with my earring selection. #SupportArtistsAndMakers

And I just made this one. Owyhee Picture Jasper, one of my favorite stones. Sterling silver. Tough to get a good shot without reflections; this stone has a good polish.

I'm not going to display it today. I have three empty pendant displays and I think that's good for business.

Two bleach blondes in their 50s just breezed in. They're looking at my jewelry and one of them asks, "Where do you acquire all this?"

I look up from my work making a pendant. "I make it," I reply.

Her eyes bulge, making her gray roots even more obvious. "All of it?"

"Yes. This is an art show. Everything here is made by the artist in the booth."

The concept is apparently new to them. They don't linger.

I sent just about all of my wire framed pendants to one of my gallery shop clients so I figured I'd replenish inventory while I'm sitting here in my booth. This is a local stone called Nobel serpentine, which is mined in north central Washington state at the Wild Turkey Mine. It's a blend of dolomite, limestone, and serpentine. I framed it in sterling silver for a pendant. Color in photo is accurate. #jewelry #SupportArtistsAndMakers

Putting this on display for the first time today. Cloud Mountain Hubei Turquoise in sterling silver. I'm showing it with a black Chinese labradorite and sterling silver necklace which is nearly the same color as the black matrix in the turquoise. I’m looking for someone with a #sewing machine capable of doing #embroidery. I want to have tags made on canvas with a length in feet embroidered onto the tag in bold numbers about 2 inches tall. For example, 35’ or just 35. The tag edges must be finished and I will be adding a grommet. I'll need 11 of these with varying lengths. I'll pay a reasonable price. I’d rather hand this off to a craftsperson than find a fancy embroidery shop to do it. Please boost for exposure. #SupportArtistsAndMakers

Two more mobile jewelry studio pieces. A turquoise and sterling silver ring and a Cloud Mountain and sterling silver pendant. Both of these pieces use scalloped bezel wire, bead wire, and individually set and soldered silver balls. There's a lot of sparkle in the sunlight. I made this ring a lot smaller and the only finger it fits is my pinky. 🙄 Clearly I need to work on sizing. #SupportArtistsAndMakers
