    #Extremophile #fish of the #Poeciliidae have specific adaptations to live in geothermally heated sulfur-containing waters, e.g. the species Poecilia sulphuraria and Gambusia eurystoma in Baños del Azufre, #Mexico. Adaptations are to deal with toxic effects of #sulfur and #temperature limits above 40°C.
