Last week, while taking a #stetwalk after #ACESVCON25, I noticed this spray-painted amendment on the road where some construction is being done.
This is the construction workers' version of the copyeditors' stet.

If you can open a window, I recommend it. If you’re able to go outside and walk, I recommend it.
I’ve been in a funk. Walking helped a bit. Turns out that going outside is better for health and productivity than doomscrolling. Who knew?

Look what I came across on my #stetwalk, a stick library! The people who put this out also have a Little Free Library. The stick library is lower than the book library, making it easier for dogs to spot the sticks.

Cat spotting! I saw this cutie on today's #StetWalk. I have a soft spot for black tortoiseshells like her because we had a cat named Torrie who had similar coloring.

Gorgeous weather on today's #StetWalk. It's in the high 50s and the sky is very clear. While we're likely past peak foliage, there are still a lot of leaves on trees. I also spotted what I think is an eastern cottontail nibbling on some greens and got to pet one of the neighborhood dogs, Kingsley.

Timeline cleanse. Here's a photo of a bumblebee gathering pollen from a hosta flower. I took this a few days ago during my morning walk.

Often when I take my walk, I get "borked at" by a trio of tiny dogs. (Borking is what my husband and I call the barking done by small dogs.) They take a lot of pride in letting passersby know when they are trespassing. The third dog is just out of frame, borking.

I think these are white hydrangeas. Whatever they are, they are sure enjoying the hot, humid weather. Glad someone is!

On my #StetWalk this morning, I got to pet Truly, an 11-month-old beagle! She was so sweet and affectionate. Definitely a great way to start the day.

Some of the gorgeous flowers currently blooming in my neighborhood. I'm thinking these are daylilies, but maybe they're just lilies.

On today's #StetWalk, I walked to a nearby convenience store to get myself a snack; always a fun thing to do when it's warm. I got a half tea, half lemonade and a bag of Carolina Kettle salt and balsamic vinegar chips, which I've never had before.
