  6. our last test is always to plug in our 2.8" captouch TFT shield adafruit.com/product/1947 because it tests both SPI and I2C. this passes and since all the GPIO are accounted for, we just have to wrap up the silk and it's off to fabrication!

  9. then we recently noticed that we could probably revive it, a few parts needed replacing: the 3.3V buck converter and the backlight booster both got discontinued, and we now add stemma QT ports on I2C-capable devices. what do you think this board does?

  12. This new "Dynamic NFC Tag" board from #SparkFun looks pretty neat. Acts like a programmable NDEF NFC for use w/ iPhone & Android and has chainable Qwiic / StemmaQT I2C connectors sparkfun.com/products/21274

  17. Here’s a weird side-ish project of mine. A STM32G0 as a coprocessor for #CircuitPython over #StemmaQT. I hope to get this polished up when CP 8 is in release candidate.

  22. For the programmable #stemmaQT friend I was originally thinking of an fpga like the Mach xo2 (because it can be loaded over i2c). However, small arm chips are much cheaper and more available. Right now, I’m prototyping with an STM32G0 that is 80 cents in singles from LCSC. It has 8k ram and 32k flash. Most importantly, it has a ROM i2c bootloader! So, hopefully this’ll be a simple arm core complement to something running #CircuitPython.

  25. This baby monitor project has re-surfaced an idea I had for a programmable #StemmaQT board. It’d be an easy way to add a core or peripheral outside of a main #CircuitPython controller. The main code would load a small set of custom code (in this case to monitor the LEDs and press the buttons) over i2c and then talk to it over i2c. Basically, in this case it’s an up expander but it can be used for other things.
