  1. Continuing the #stealthsolar theme, I took everyones helpful thoughts/suggestions/examples/pictures and have made a small website (hosted on my solar powered web server) called "Stealth Solar - Subtle Ways To Generate Your Own Power" with some thoughts about where to install #solarpanels stealthily : squeak.solarcene.community/~st

Its still a work in progress, there are lots of spelling mistakes and I'm sure I can expand the sections further.

  2. Dear #fediverse friends - does anyone have solar panels attached to their fence and use it to generate electricity (and be happy to share an image or two)?

I'm working on a website to document different types of #stealthsolar and don't have any images of #solarpanels on fences.

  7. Success but suddenly started pouring with rain so now inside. 2 ecoflow 440W panels, 4 Renusol Metasole+ with end clamps, concrete screws to secure them to the wall.

The position means that they can't be seen by our neighbours.

  9. Installing some today!

(And using fixings that perhaps weren't designed for the job)

  11. Does anyone have #solar panels installed on top of their shed and would be willing to provide a picture that I could add to my page on #stealthsolar ? It doesn't need to be particularly stealthy but extra points if it is! Would be grateful for a little information so I can credit the image appropriately.

As I work slowly on my #stealthsolar guide/book/website I'll likely be asking for more examples - but it will be at a fairly slow pace.

  12. Sooo I got so many amazing responses to the #stealthsolar question, new ideas/concepts and examples it has inspired me to get on with the website, I'm using the #hugo book theme and have managed to write the introduction. The goal will be to have sections on each location (shed, wall, trailer etc) and then also sections with some simple guides.

I haven't really written this way for years so it's a bit of a new experience and it got me thinking, if the website writing goes well could there be a book in it? I appreciate I'm thinking way ahead but I think it's the sort of book I would buy.

  17. I've started work on my #stealthsolar page, I'll host it on Squeak (it's a very low power, low resource web host that I run - check it out squeak.solarcene.community).

In preparation I've upgrade #Hugo to 0.160 as wanted to use the nice 'book' theme (github.com/alex-shpak/hugo-book).

If you'd like to have a small website hosted just get in touch, there is still space on Squeak!

  22. It pains me to say this but I just managed to get 2x #ecoworthy 120W #solarpanels off am*zon for £100 (£30 off at checkout) which is pretty good deal I think.

Still working on detaching myself from that mega conglomerate but does mean I can double my solar capacity which will be great for the winter, just need to think about how I hide the panels in the garden… #stealthSolar
