Seasoned gardeners would probably not consider my messy little garden productive in any agricultural or aesthetic sense, but in terms of unpredictable delight and semi-feral beauty, it's giving me life. Who knew pole beans climbing a trellis could be so entertaining? I sure didn't. 😆

Walking helps. Very slow. Winded now. Had to stop several times (multiple seats along way would help-accessibility. Would anyone else in neighborhood walk more if there were seats every few feet for rest stops??? I don't know most of my neighbors. I see fit, abled people walk past. I don't see people with mobility issues out and about around here. Am I using wrong language?)
Sunny part of garden is still in shade now. Back part is all sunny. Will have to think how this would impact planting plans.
Will walking crab slow over there and back early morning help me tackle Wall Of Awful? Will I be able to go more times per day soon, if I keep this up? Will I drop this ball (again) or how better support Self in this effort to get healthy and functional to do All The Things necessary to do All The Big Things to meet this noment in History as we are called to do so?
I should write this on paper but would likely lose it, or spill leak something on it that blurs ink
illegible. So trying this.#neurospicy

Preparing pots from last season's oops for planting last minute, late season Hail Mary, Please Gaia, maybe this will work. Emptied old dead plants with dry soil and leaves to protected spots in woods, where they would do well if herbs or dead elderberry decided to come back from some tiny spark of life, if there is any. Lined with straw partly composted over winter. Hollowed out center hole, filled with leftover potting soil from???? years ago? Planted a few Scarlet Runner Beans in each. 70 days for these. It is August 24. Hoping for long mild Autumn in coastal zone 6b, which might soon or already be turning into zone 7. Might need some row cover in October.
1 pot each next to a post on either side of woodpile. One next to bird feeder hanger pole in rewilding Bird Park, part sunny patch with dappled light much of the day. Partly shady so it will be an experiment in forest gardening. How much sun do they actually need?
Hoping they will at least grow tall enough to climb posts, and really hope they flower before frost kills them. I will be delighted if they flower; blossoms are beautiful red and white. I will be happy if they even grow at all. Actual beans would be wonderful, but it is an experiment. Will see what season extenders I can manage, and how weather behaves.
Having to lay down on back now to post, as wiped out, and back between shoulder blades sore.

#permaculture #spooniegardening #lazygardeningThinking about starting some veg seeds. Still snow on the ground, and single F digits overnight tonight. Thinking if trying to make hotbeds. Can I source dome horse manure and bedding? Sheep and goat might be easier, or more likely to be free. Do I dare use humanure to heat if thick layer of growing medium on top and only for seed starting??? Thinking if straw bales for 1 of them, 3 sides pointy-sharp side up to double as straw bale garden beds, front, south facing side flat, sittanle side up for sitting on to tend snd just enjoy. Do I have spoons for this? Can I scrounge used windows or glass sheets for toppers? I have plenty of glass bottles I've been saving for diy glass bottle windows/panels/walls. Maybe this year is year I actually try it??? Infos and inspirations below. Wish me luck and spoons!

Thinking about planting cherry tomatoes in hanging basket or upside down planter on post. Considering companion planting with it. Anyone have good luck with this approach?
Also, can tall sunflowers support vining tomatoes? Haven't grown either before but hoping to try.
If plant living mulches, how often will I need to water? How much water? I carry in all water so big consideration for spoonie.

@BrambleBearWhuffling this is an awesome plan. Can a buddy help with the heavy lifting? When I had a larger piece of land but was much sicker, I focused on ‘volunteers’- plants that were weeds or had wild seeded on the land from other gardens. There were columbines, kale, foxgloves, etc. The land went wild with brambles and became impassable in some parts. I had to walk a ways to get to it, so had logs to sit on-just as you are suggesting! #lazyGardening #SpoonieGardening
