It's the SNP's Conference this weekend and the party is in reflective mood after the drubbing at the UK election. The first session, closed to the media, allowed the delegates to speak directly to the leadership. Will they listen? They said they would but is Swinney and Forbes capable of generating the fire and inspiration needed to win in Scotland's GE in 2026. A hae ma doots!

Acknowledgement then that Starmer and Labour are fairly close, to put it mildly, to the Tories.

- Kate Forbes can't even bring herself to say she'd support the right to access abortion after rape.

One of them is going to be First Minister next week.

Kate Forbes and Ash Regan both think they're going to lose the #SNPLeadership election to Humza Yousaf.

So they're questioning the integrity of the process, in order to call into doubt Yousaf's victory and claim they're the "real" winners.

Imagine being asked about #jkrowling and not only not calling out her anti trans crusade but missing out on the opportunity to say that billionaires like her shouldn't be able to dominate Scottish politics
