#scottishnationalparty tried to conceal membershio figures till announcement of leadership election result, Mar 27. After calls for transparency by Wee Free #KateForbes & (alleged) Terf #AshRegan it turns out #SNP only has 72,186 paid-up members - down from 125,000 in 2019. It seems that the book-cooking was intended to help #HumzaYousaf, to play the role of fall guy (a Scottish Liz Truss no less) thus enabling the party to abandon the fight for independence. Whoever wins the #SNP seems doomed.
