I’m not aware of any reporting but single stair residential to the fourth story with safety improvements (my proposal) is proceeding for consideration for adoption with a consensus recommendation. This is the best possible outcome for success. I can’t guarantee anything but there is a very good chance that Virginia will be permitting this building type again in the 2027 code update, where zoning allows it and an adequate water supply exists. #Virginia #housing #BuildingCode #SingleStair
