We saw author Lawrence Wright last night. After the interview during the Q&A portion, he was asked about Middle East peace chances. He proposed a novel approach that I hadn't heard before: Have a group of countries purchase the Sinai from Egypt and offer it up for Palestinians to have their own land and country.
He claims that Egypt isn't really using the Sinai. And it could address the tensions over land rights.
