just going to rant for a quick second (which is way shorter than my usual): it's utterly amazing to me that there's no reasonable option for seniors who need a cell phone that's just a good phone.

Interesting thing is that there are a couple of companies out there making minimalist phones like the #Punkt MP02, which seems to be a surprisingly poorly executed concept given the fact that it seems like it should be easier to execute a few features well rather than all the features in a mediocre way.

I would definitely pay the MP02's $400 price tag for a phone with big buttons and a great speakerphone. As is, all I can get is either underpriced junk or overpriced junk, and it all seems to be the same junk, or a handful of #Nokia bar phones that have tiny little fiddly buttons that are all but unusable for anyone with mobility issues.
