I've been spending today doing some sprite work. De-SEGA-fying the engine. Thanks to the Spriters Resource for the sprite rips I used originally, they were a great help to get the engine to where it is now.
But if I want to release this it's better I remove any copyrighted works now than possibly fall foul later.
Almost every sprite (bar Sonic) has been replaced. Springs, ring, background, shields, all (sometimes crudely) redrawn.
