In the early stages of the #production phase I realized/decided this needed something dramatic done to it, so I decided to implement an idea I had a while back, of taking one of my own more or less finished tracks and chopping it up and doing some extreme mangling to it. That's where I implemented the #SampleTape #VinylImpacts, which worked really well with the #SpokenWord #FoundSound #samples I added.

I talked about the #SampleTape in past #ProductionDiary posts, but all the warbley bits and vinyl impacts and surface noise came from that tape. All that stuff came in late in the process -- one of the very last things I did, as this song was the second to last to be finished. I'll circle back to that in a moment.
