Typically I'll modulate the phase of the sine along with shoving it through one or more distortions/waveshapers. I probably used the Terci Ruina, but I honestly don't remember. As for the filter, I think (but again, don't actually remember; I need to take better notes) it was the #WMDevices #C4RBN but it could have been the Wasp -- those are where'd I'd reach for acid, generally speaking.

Source of the #voice #sample is a cassette recording of a tarot/astrology reading I got at a thrift store. #FoundSound FTW. The #DrumLoop is one I had kicking around forever, recording #VolcaDrum onto a cassette and fucking with the speed. That's pretty much the #gear used.

The ascending melodic line is #Korg #opsix; #ASM #Hydrasynth is playing a string machine #patch I made for a patch challenge last year; ##Arturia #MicroFreak bassline. This one didn't get much added in the #production phase. Just the #voice #samples and a #DrumLoop in the last section.

My use case, to be fair, is something no artist would have been interested in, or able to do, even if I could have paid them. I was using it to generate images based on my proposed song titles, then using those images to determine if the song was a) worth pursuing and b) what direction to take it. I was trying to create a unique #visual #references or #MoodBoards, in essence.

During all this, I was also working on charting out the #thematic and #musical elements, but I am going to go into that in a different post. It's definitely part of the #PreProduction but it's tied much more closely to the #writing and #composition than the #production, so I'd like to keep it separate for people who are only interested in one or the other. And also because they are separate in my mind.
