i was in no way prepared for the breathtaking new trio evolution of #lambchop at le poisson rouge tonight in #nyc, just kurt wagner's odd & amazing voice accompanied by piano & upright bass. restrained frontman moves, new (& even newer?) songs flowing together into suites, more sublime than their album versions, each word filled with care. no autotune, no beats, a few older tunes. excellent opener #ryleywalker joined for the closing "decline of country & western civilization." #livemusic
