sunday zones at union pool in #brooklyn. heady, dense #improv by emergency group, like the moody & conversational parts of jambands minus the goofiness & face-scrunching peaks. debut gig by heat manager, choogle-adjacent alt-wryness, with only the barest hints that their members used to be in a primal dead cover band. rare side set by danny arakaki of #GarciaPeoples, feat. nice fat leads by mike bones of weak signal.

Finally got to drop a needle on the new album, “Tumble In Shade” from Danny Arakaki (#GarciaPeoples ). It features a killer cast of players and, midway through side A I’m pretty well invested.
