Vom 12. bis 14. Juli fand im Fediverse wieder das "Canvas"-Event statt, bei dem User*innen Pixel auf einer weißen Fläche platzieren konnten.

Compare to https://sinder.pxls.world/ which has lots of Touhou scattered everywhere (thanks to the OG 2022/2023 Touhou faction that brought Bad Apple to #rplace participating), everything is just filled with purple, ran for longer than 72 hours, expanded the canvas (which for some reason is met with resistance when it comes to the #fedicanvas community in the #Threadiverse).. Man no matter I even forgot it was gonna start in July 12th and now is the last day ​:chuckling_okuu:​

In total, bronies placed about 600,000 pixels using the template. Our art is only about 30,000 pixels. That gives an idea of how many attacks we had to defend against as well as our allies to help!

I don’t like what they did with the API and forcefully changing the sub mods and I’m very happy for lemmy and kbin, but I still like Reddit a lot.

So of course I was pretty absorbed by r/place over the last few days. I think we did good with all the "fuck spez" everywhere and resisting streamers and bots attack as hard as we could.

I can't post my full original speech, but here's a short version.

This was my first r/place. It was a taxing/draining experience, but also just as fun and amazing! To start I supported the anti-bot P3ACE alliance we joined, but constant streamer attacks (30) made me change my mind and I got swept up in the pro-bot Brony hivemind. I learned as the old r/place veterans did that these stream raids amount to nothing, and I quickly came to see the full might of our allies in P3ACE! One Piece, Genshin, Madoka, Bluey, and so many more supported us to the very end and proved that friendship is better than bots! I don't want another place anytime soon, but I had enough of a blast that at a reasonable time later I can't wait to reunite with our other fandom friends!

I want to give an extra special thanks to our friends in #Bluey who stood by our side more than anyone else!

Thank you to Coaster and mods for setting up the server!

Today was a crazy day for me and Tiniest Team in #Reddit's #RPlace. Our mini Mima (and her new friend Sekibanki) along with allies r/thaithai and Real Madrid got griefed hard by purplebrown bots. We weren't able to fend them off in the defense, even BTMC and his osu gang (known for saving artworks from bots in last year's r/place) weren't able to handle it at the time (due to impending Bad Apple difficult transition)...

However the bots eventually went offline and we've went and liberated ourselves in a counterattack with some help from Leicester. No osu or any big ally helping us (they're too busy with spinning Bad Apple, which is fair), we've really become the agents of our own salvation!
