Keepers of the Light
Currently on BBC Sounds
For generations, the Stevenson family built lighthouses around Scotland’s coast. Robert Louis Stevenson was expected to do the same – but instead, he chose to write. Keepers of the Light explores the uneasy boundary between art & engineering, & how one extraordinary family shared an impulse to create in very different forms.
