Richard Jefferies had three children with his wife Jessie. Two survived to adulthood, Harold and Jessie (known as Phyllis).

Last year, Jefferies' descendants Lucille and Ken came all the way from Canada to celebrate their ancestor's 175th birthday - it was lovely to meet living relatives of this thoroughly interesting man!
