Inspector Gu is ordering his men to break up a door, so I have a feeling he wants a battering ram - not a "finger aircraft". Why waste all the work that went into this production by not paying a good translator? It's like making an exquisite porcelain vase and gild it with shit.

Once again, this show is set in Song dynasty which covers European late Viking Age to early-ish Middle Age, and they can credibly put a friggin' _reception desk_ on set! Look! It even have soft-cover books! What do Vikings get? Mud!!! Indoors! And a not-leaky roof if they're lucky!

Unfortunately what I love most in this drama is hard to capture in a still; the _acting_ is superb! These three are going ham in the scene where judge Wan and inspector Gu - who haven't had problems with other female characters - suddenly find themselves reduced to awkward 9yr old boys by a woman with a particular attitude*.
'OMG, it's a _girl_ here! And she's pushing us around! What else can we do but obey???"

I do enjoy seeing religious habits in C-dramas
1: they're performed by people who know what they're doing (ie while some of it are C-drama inventions it's not Hollywood mashups of horror)
2. I always start pondering writing a paper or a small article, and then I think "Oh! I'm not at the university anymore! I don't need to!"Of course, I may still do the latter for fun, but the warm feeling of not having a hazzle to deal with never gets old.

She sits with the umbrella at chest height and splatters from glue and ink lands both on her sleeves and torso. Zhao Buyou's sister works with her mess at ~hip height, and most fluids lands at the bottom of her torso, hence her short top skirt/apron (in previous toot).

Can someone open a bathhouse like that within walking distance of my home, please? An affordable version, that is!
Also - is this a permanent set at Heng Dian World Studios? I'm pretty sure I've seen it in another drama.
