Yes, they are hugging, but it's episode 33 and they're almost engaged, so they are allowed.
My main focus is of the printed pattern on the hanging roomdividers in the background. White flowers on a pastel blue background, almost too delicate to see. I'd call it xianxia Marimekko, if I'd actually liked marimekko. As of now I can only put it on the list of things I'd st... buy if I ever get to Heng Dian World Studios.

Fabric covers for the outside of the wagon! I'll definitely yoink that idea! Especially since blue with red details is A: my favourite colour combination, B: easy to adapt to Swedish 18thC folk art. Nevermind the murder and the "sound eel"* that just happened - this is _important_ stuff!

Dang it! I keep getting distracted during this scene by automatically converting li to kilometers and then into Swedish miles! 😅 (The reason being I understand vastness through Swedish miles.) For anyone who want to try; 1 li ~0.5km, 1 Swedish mile = 10km.
(The subtitle says "a month and a half to fly 6,000 li.)

(I've amused myself by trying to figure out how to weave that pattern, but on closer thought I think it's supposed to look comb marble dyed. The latter would be quite a feat considering how large it is. OTH it would explain why it's out on its own on a dark night like this.)
