  1. CW: PWA debate

    @ianthetechie

    why PWAs? Because simple, clean, and completed apps are difficult to get and then keep in the app stores.

    This is due to demands for "updates for updates sake" to "prove you are an active developer".

    There's not enough value in this for simple, clean, completed apps and utilities. PWA are a very good alternative for utility, scheduling, and tech demo apps (like #rattlegram and #ribbit)

    A lot of PWA will be junk. So are many app store products.

  3. You could encrypt a short message with one of those #AES Apps for Text from #FDroid and then turn the #chiffre into audio via #rattlegram or #AndFlmsg and send this sound via a #PMR466 or #hamradio handheld simply by holding the smartphone next to the #trx. The receivers just need the same apps and handhelds. You would only need one #Smartphone and one handheld per person. No wires, interfaces,... But such an #offgrid #decentral communication would be illegal in most (all?) countries. Why?
