Rail travel in the UK is already one of the most expensive in the world, with trains overcrowded and dirty.

As rail fare due to increase by 5.9 % , adding to already some of the highest daily fares in Europe, and rail staff struggle to make ends meet. It’s worth remembering it’s not all bad news. There are some on Network Rail doing very nicely, no food banks for this lot at Christmas - Let’s be thankful we sold off the railways eh
