Saw the word "ragtime" on a TV programme so immediately started singing the theme tune to Ragtime to my wife who proclaimed she'd never heard of the 70s kids show before and could I please stop.

Musical Interlude: Modern composer William Bolcom is technically regarded as a modern classical musician, but his leanings are very much toward jazz. He created a cycle of piano rags that are charming works. The "Graceful Ghost Rag" is justly famous, and I'm sure I've featured it before, but here's another rag just as nice.
