  1. Big update on my quantum playground: It now supports entangled qbits !

    I've implemented the CNOT gate and build a circuit with 2 qbits. When you modify the 1st qbit, you can see the 2nd one being impacted by the 1st one.

    I gave up putting an “Add Gate” button, because “Add” also imply a “Remove” button, and when I tried to remove a gate, my quantum circuit crash. I'm afraid this may create a breach in the continuum of reality that would collapse our entire universe. So I estimate it is safer for now to not remove a gate from an existing circuit.

  2. As I slowly understand how Quantum Computing works, I decided to extand my Bloch Sphere viewer to a more ambitious Quantum Playground.

    It now have section to play with a QBit or with a circuit containing 1 QBit and a 1 QGate. Several gates in a row should come soon, as it already works. But I need to add a "Add Gate" button and CSS hates me 🥺

    Circuit with several QBits in a separable state seems to work, but I still didn't test entangled state. I have to implement a CNOT gate first. Cross fingers 🤞.

    I've looked at the numbers in Google paper. #BTC uses elliptical curve, which is easier to break than RSA.
    Based on the growth in #qbits necessary, the critical vulnerability window will begin in 2030.
    This sounds far away, but it's only 5 years.

    By then they will have to recode the BTC Blockchain to quantum-resistant cryptography (your post has a link to a paper).
    However, I would totally expect a nation state to hit that benchmark sooner and raid the BTC.

    Ähm schonmal was von #quantencomputer gehört?
    Bei entsprechender Anzahl von #qbits ist die Lösung ALLER Passwörter einer bestimmten Länge dabei. Und dann war es das mit den gängigen Verschlüsselungsverfahren...

  10. If we double #qbits every 2 years, then to reach 100k qubits, it'll take 22 years. That's 2042. 🤔

  11. We're still in the levels of 30 - 50 #qbits, but we need 100,000 qbits to solve real business problems.. ☹️
