I see "immune" in "immune system" and as the root of "immunisation" as dangerous and misleading. Guessing there are historical reasons why this developed and social inertia to it being changed.
But I think the misuse is killing people. And will likely kill many more come the next severe pandemic.cf "blood thinners"

It is a good article.But, " Weren't these same lessons available with AIDS, with malaria, with HK flu, with Spanish flu?"
If they were available, and I can't see why they weren't, then what needs to be happening so they're learnt and embodied in public health and science communication going forwards from here?
