  6. @LifeTimeCooking With the definition that "grains" are the seeds of *grasses*, quinoa, amaranth, chia, and buckwheat are not grains and are generally called "pseudo-grains."

    But if "grains" are defined as "small edible seeds," then they are all grains.

    My own inclination is to go with the first definition, but I have seen the second in use.
