Why is this the only way to write proper plaintext email in proton free tier on desktop?

Step 1: Electronmail (needed because 3 accounts)
Step 2: Set composing to plaintext
Step 3: Use custom CSS to set .editor-textarea max-width to 80
Step 4: Use a border-right on it
Step 5: Compose

If someone here knows of better methods please do tell.

Hydroxide doesn't work. protonmail-python-api or whatever the library name is doesn't work. None of the forks work. It's honestly so annoying that I have to spawn a full electron window or pay up (I'm broke as a joke) to be able to use plaintext email with an org that has some semblance of user privacy.

Tuta has third-party bridges, do they work properly??

@MichaelSpatz habe damals die #ProtonBridge verwendet. Hat gut geklappt. (Ist aber schon einige Jahre her.)

@slh, thinking that #protonmail respects #privacy, #security is very naive. They got €2milion from European Commission. They don't give money for free. EU fighting for privacy is an oxymoron. How many years #protonmail has been talking about putting app to #fdroid?
Why don't they want to allow people to export their emails? Why don't they allow users to use #pgp #gpg on their own? Why do they force to use #protonbridge. The truth is that they look for #prvacyfanboys and then monetize them.
