Indulged in a late night photoshoot with the bristle millipedes (Polyxenida, probably genus _Polyxenus_) that come out to browse on the stone walls around the garden. Saw the absolute tiniest bristlepede ever!

I lifted a bark and then found the smallest #millipede we have in Central Europe:

Polyxenus lagurus (Polyxenida: Polyxenidae)

Size is only 2-3 mm 📏
It seems to use bark beetle tunnels 🤔

#InverteFest humblebrag: looked under a chip of rock and saw two tiny yellow-beige dots that in shape reminded me of aphid fundatrices (though much tinier). Hit 'em with the 24x macro clip-on and discovered they were tiny baby bristle millipedes (order Polyxenida)!!!
