I've been working on a redesign for Aubie and I kept thinking how cool her wings would look as stained glass and, well... this happened.

I definitely need to do more stained glass style stuff. Normally coloring isn't my favorite part, but this was a blast.

Finally made an edition, just in time, of the Canadian folktale associated with May Day called the Mermaid of the Magdalenes. I liked the idea that this fairytale is about something as prosaic as finding tinned sardines - and is also about ecology and stars a black lobster as we finish #InverteFest.

The rugged east coast Magdalene Islands are all but barren of grass & trees, but the waters are rich in fish & 🧵

Came across this while on my way home, and only had the phone to shoot with, I think it's a spider having a meal, but not detailed enough for me to try and find the genus/species. #InverteFest #Spood

They paired up writers and illustrators for an invertebrate themed collection of any and all genres. Lisa wrote a truly charming book and we featured some of our favourite insects from near her Pacific Northwest home and mine in southern Ontario.
