It's great something like this is finally happening. So less tickets, a fresher start and easier for the devs to fix the bugs.

So go to your own Pixelfed tickets and verify if they can stay closed or if they have to be reopened.

It seems I complained too much , I'm now blocked too 🤷‍♂️

many of the #pixelfedbug issues or the feature requests never got a reply or anything. Maybe they got a triage label but that's it.

As I'm blocked, I had to reopen already 2 new bug tickets instead of just asking if that is already known.

Did you have time to look at this issue?
It's still happening for me with the official Pixelfed app.

i know you do a rewrite of the app. But as this is also happening on 3rd party apps like on @PixelDroid and as it was introduced with v0.12.7 it might be worth to look into it?

(It's luckily not happening on @Pixelix, have you done a workaround @Hiebeler05 ? )

@dansup - i have a Pixelfed federation question (before opening a bug report).

I have a new user on punk.photos.
She wants to follow her friend on pixelfed.social.
On punk.photos she sees 0 pictures but on Pixelfed.social are 158 posts. (And of course the number of followers is wrong, which is a known problem)

Is there any way an account can be "re-federated" / reloaded? Is there a worker which does the magic?

@dansup for new users, if they don't understand the federation problem, it will feel like punk.photos is broken and not working.
That's why I got this complaint from the user right after registration.

I really hope there is a script or a way to get the data from your Pixelfed.social to our instance.
And i know they can search for the original post but that's not a good UX.

Das geht sogar nicht mal bei anderen Pixelfed servern....

mal schauen was dieser #pixelfedbug jemals behoben wird.

Pixelfed ist eigentlich cool, aber leider steckt der main-Entwickler seine Zeit lieber in loops 🙄

Ich bin auch ziemlich frustriert und rate den Leuten meistens dazu, sich lieber für Mastodon zu entscheiden, obwohl ich selber #pixelfedadmin bin und gerne mehr User hätte. Aber sowas bringt leute vom Fediverse weg, nicht hin!

it's about how ugly all non-pixelfed posts look on pixelfed, because of the removing of line breaks.

I guess for you this is a real quick one. I was already looking at the code, but I haven't seen where this happens.

for messages, you have inbox, sent and filtered.
I really don't understand how the "filtered" works. there are really (not spam) messages, even to some accounts I WROTE FIRST... @dansup - can you clarify? else I need to fill out another bug report on github

So, the days when PHP was "my" programming language, is gone for a long time.... (Kotlin (before Java) only at the moment + bash)

hey pixelfed users and pixelfed admins - is the "retoot" / "repost" function working for you?

For me it seems not, it doesn't matter which app I'm using or if I'm using the web interface.

Stavo provando a registrarmi su pixelfed, ma se uso la mia mail mi dice che esiste già (avevo provato giorni fa, ma senza successo), se chiedo reset password non arriva niente, se chiedo codice attivazione quello che arriva non risulta funzionante.

Pixelfed Bug:

If you mention from #mastodon a #pixelfed account, without a picture, you will not be able to see it, not in the notifications, and even in the timeline you can't see it at all.

If you add a reply to it, the post and the reply are federated and you are able to see it.

This is really a bad bug and killing the idea of federation.

I will open a #bug ticket later.
