#pixelfedglitch — Public Fediverse posts

I run an internal #pixelfed server for students at the school I work at. It is only used for 1 school term a year. I was hoping to move it to a container, instead of a whole VM. Looking at the official docs there doesnt seem to be an official container?

I see a fork called #pixelfedglitch - has anyone used this? Is it trustworthy? It seems to maintain regular container builds

started my day trying to figure out email validation in #pixelfedglitch. the app is PHP & Vue. i have written neither language.

i briefly considered that i'm stubbornly denying myself the quick solution of prompting a chatbot to roll the dice and maybe surface the code line that validates the string

i went digging, found the email validation regex, found out it enforced that emails start with a letter. all in 20 minutes

no chatbot in sight. just grep and patience. today was a good day.

@lizzy just to note #loops and #pixelfed are developed by the same guy. I however administrate a #pixelfedGlitch instance and must say it's a bit buggy.

To better approach Pixelfed, we decided to follow the Pixelfed Glitch's team's way, so under the hood you'll find Pixelfed Glitch 0.12.4+glitch.1.9.1 (see here the changelog: https://github.com/pixelfed-glitch/pixelfed/releases/tag/v0.12.4-glitch.1.9.1), a MariaDB database and a LetsEncrypt Self Signed certificate
