  1. Didn't make it to #FOSDEM? @devrtz 's talk about #Phosh's recent developments is available online: https://video.fosdem.org/2026/ub4132/XHPZND-phosh-2026.av1.webm

The talks was presented using a phone running #phosh (beamer connected via usb-c) and #pdfpc .

  2. Anyone using #pdfpc (PDF presenter console) on #GNOME 48 (from #Debian Trixie)? It no longer works for me since the Trixie upgrade: it now shows both presenter and presentation windows on the same display. -1/-2 fiddling doesn't change anything, and even manually moving the presentation window to the right display doesn't help, because it has the wrong size.

  4. My slide deck tool ( rst2pdf ) produces PDFs, and I use pdfpc to present the PDF slides. It shows the current and next slides, my notes, a timer, and it probably does other things too that I don’t use! I’ve used it for years but it was really designed for “in real world” presenting with one or two screens. Recently I discovered it also supports some great options for remote presentations, but I had to look up how to do that so here are my notes (mostly in case I need to look it up 1 minute before I go on stage again!!). 5. pdfpc is a thing of beauty! Essentially it lets me present PDF files with the kind of dual screen features you find in Powerpoint and the like.

Creating presentations with Beamer and presenting them with pdfpc is a killer combination.

  6. At last, there seems to be a tool for embedding #MovieClips into #Beamer #presentations (i.e. #PDF files) for #GNU plus #Linux systems. It’s a previewer called #pdfpc which recognizes the movie and you can start it, pause it, etc with your mouse. If your machine is attached to a second screen, it automatically displays the presentation #Fullscreen on it.

  7. « #wayland is ready » they said
    me: $ #pdfpc --wayland-workaround slides.pdf

  8. For ages I had to deal with the fact that doesn't have a "presentation mode". The solution was to have on the side and use that for presentations.

The other day I came across , a Keynote-like presentation tool so juicy that I want to give presentations just to use it!

    Also great support!
