OTXO is a noir-themed pixel-art top-down shooter with roguelite gameplay, and is the fourth game in the January Humble Choice bundle.
The game opened with low-res top-down pixel-art of a train carriage, and as someone gets off the train, they drop a mask that you pick up and are immediately compelled to put on; at which point everything fades to black, and you wake up on a beach like Leonardo DiCaprio in Inception.
You start walking and find a mansion, where a groundskeeper explains to that your loved one who was next to you on the train is now trapped at the heart of the mansion and all you have to do is kill everyone inside.
A tutorial walks you through the gameplay, but the keyboard and mouse controls left a lot to be desired, and I just couldn't get it right with a controller, and I wasn't enjoying myself anyway.
15 minutes and I was done.

New year, new me or this kind of thingy. Anyway, here is a new and improved (mostly updated) #introduction post 2024 edition
So hi :neocat_floof_happy:, I am ctrl, a silly genderfluid non-binyary furry mess. I'm a puppy{girl, boy, thing, [REDACTED]}, and I'm also a developper.
I am unfortunyately not coding much at my current job, but hopefully it'll change in the future. When I have the energy for side-projects I usually do some light webdev on my various sites, or I try to reinvent the wheel by coding something from scratch in C.
Current project is a toy-compiler, with a minimal lexer done. I'm planning on relying on LLVM to generate the machine code at first, but I'm not excluding the possibility of me trying to implement it myself :3
One of my programming goal is to write my own kernel :neocat_cool:
I'm also a gaymer, even if I started to play way less recently. Current games are The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Animal Crossing: New Horizon on the switch, and Otxo, and Titanfall 2 on PC.
Once in a while I will also spend way too much time on my favorite game Celeste :3
It is a really fun game, and I tried to speedrun it a while back. PB is something like 1:04 :celbounceline:
I also watch some anime once in a while. Last year I had a few months where I was obsessed with One Piece, kinda stuck at episode 500 right now, but I'll continue watching eventually uwu

I'm also a huge Linux and FLOSS nerd. (But hopefully not the annoying kind :neocat_floof_happy:). As part of my job I also work on/with open source softwares.
I am currently learning portuguese with the green bird app. I am not great at it yet, but please do talk to me in portuguese if you want, it's always a great exercise.
Eventually I wannya learn some other languages, not sure which one though, but I feel like German could be easy enough to pick up for me.
