Hab mit https://github.com/MicroPythonOS/MicroPythonOS/pull/35 dazu beigetragen, das der aus 2018 stammende #odroidgo von #Hardkernel auf #MicroPythonOS supportet wird.

Anyway, I am off to play some Minish Cap. I’ve gotten much farther than last time I mentioned it!

Last night’s 3D print: a grip for my (@lucy’s?) ODROID-GO Advance! I dusted off the little handheld retro gaming console, flashed a new OS, fixed the joystick, and have been playing it a lot—but the form factor is not the most comfortable.
Thanks to the 3D printing community, I have a (beautiful!) fix. 😁🎮💖

@oloturia
You reminded me that I have to but an #OdroidHC4 and an #odroidgo! 😁
I'm in doubt: super or ultra?

Any tips or tricks on how to run a 320x200 TFT SPI display faster from an #esp32?
I made my #odroidgo into a portable serial monitor, but when the screen is full and the lines shift up, the redraw is very slow. I chose a tiny font, so there's a lot of characters to draw. I "optimized" the render to only draw what cells actually changed, but that's not fast enough.
I found this regarding HW SPI: https://youtu.be/KFjYQMAUDjw but AFAIK my device is already using it and I can't change pins anyway...

It would be lovely to have some GAMES
I would like KODI with IAGL plugin and Retroarch pre installed with some on screen controls.
But any multi emulator software as the ones used in #odroidgo advance would be great, even if they need external BT controllers.

@kelbot @bitsofbas well, there is #dsk2rom which can convert #DSK images to #ROM, but I'm not sure how well it works with #Snatcher or #SDSnatcher: https://www.msx.org/news/software/en/dsk2rom-080
To run DSK images on #fMSX, you'd have to use the -diska (and -diskb) argument(s): https://fms.komkon.org/fMSX/fMSX.html#LABJ
Not sure how this would work on the #ODroidGO, as I have no experience with that. :)
I'm also not sure if that version of the emulator needs the MSX (Disk) BIOS ROM files?
Perhaps check: https://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?t=31927

I'ts a bit unfortunate, that many open source mobile consoles adopt the shape of the classic #GameBoy when something like the #GameBoyAdvance would be much more comfortable to use, esp. when devices get smaller.
e.g. #OdroidGo

@kelbot
if you're interested in trying some #MSX games (if the #ODroidGo has an MSX #emulator), I would suggest the games released as part of the #MSXdev #homebrew competitions. :)@bitsofbas and #Ilkke for instance released a wonderful #Quartet clone for this year's edition: https://www.msxdev.org/2019/02/13/msxdev18-14th-entry-quartet/
