The UN has a report for us to read, but generally, today is the day we raise awareness that it is possible that a disease may someday spread from an animal host, to humanity, and cause an epidemic. It's happened many times in the past (including once in the past 2 years!) and will probably happen again in the future. We can however prevent and mitigate it, when it happens. Now is the time to start preparing for the #nextpandemic.
