Wir waren gestern im #Kunstmuseum #Bern für einen Nachmittag der Kontraste: auf der einen Seite die Franz-Gertsch-Retrospektive, andererseits die Sonderausstellung „Das volle Leben“ mit Werken aus dem ältesten Bestand des Museums, von Duccio über die Berner #Nelkenmeister bis hin zu Liotard.
Am meisten angetan hat es mir aber ein Frühwerk von Gertsch: der „Schriftsteller“ von 1966. Abgesehen vom klaren Spitzweg-Zitat war ich fasziniert davon, dass (1) das dargestellte Buch am rechten unteren Bildrand den Titel „10 Science Fiction Storys“ trägt, und (2) auf dem Etikett des Notizheftes am linken unteren Rand deutlich das Wort #Necronomicon zu lesen ist (welches übrigens auch direkt über der Signatur nochmals durch die Farbe durchscheint).
Schau an, der Franz Gertsch war – zumindest zeitweilig – einer von uns 😅

Headed up to #necronomicon in #Providence for the week; the academic panels and extended programming are absolutely stacked this year - hoping to sneak in some writing and game time if possible (if not, I'll be itching to run tons of #callofcthulhu when I get home.)
