I got a chance to watch #MyFathersDragon on #Netflix a lot sooner than planned which was great.
I recommend watching it. Wholesome #story about friendship and believing in yourself which sounds corny but there's a reason so many stories feature these themes. I hope people get a chance to watch this with their families. Highly recommend 👌

@durrandon We'll just have to make #MyFathersDragon go viral on Mastodon 😆 😆
Listening to the soundtrack of #MyFathersDragon and trying to find similar execution in Indian music. Struggling to find purely instrumental music that is scored to a scene. The vast majority of music is vocal. Even when used in an in between scene, it’s typically a portion of a lyrical song, usually the main one, and is not actually scored to a scene. Will update on what I find, if I find anything. Fwiw, comparing these two styles is a long standing hobby :)
#MyFathersDragon is a beautiful film. As a middle aged guy without children i had to push through the beginning to get to Wild Island, but the art and direction is so lovely, absolutely recommend if you like animation
I am so happy for the children these days because the material made for them is so good and varied. Watched My Father’s Dragon with my son and it was heart achingly beautiful. So distant from the kind of stories that would be told by Disney. Love love love.
I mentioned #MyFathersDragon earlier. Didn't realise the beautiful title song is sung by the wonderful #Anohni #nonbinary #animation #cartoonsaloon

I've loved the work of #cartoonsalon since I saw their amazing #WolfWalkers (rush to see it if you can on AppleTV+). Their new #MyFathersDragon is just as good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0giW36Fb69c
