Maybe it's because of all that crap going on in the whole world and my own ... but after watching some of the comic and the movie, I think I prefer the movie version of #Nimona .
Especially because of the much more hopeful ending compared to the darker, more ambiguous original graphic novel. -
When my comet comes over next weekend, we're going to watch some movies together. They could be as ancient as Metropolis, or less ancient as Alien or The Thing, or not ancient at all like Nimona.
He's also going to learn about The Indie Beat Television and RetroStrange TV, because I have them on most of the time.

Finally got around to watching #Kpop_Demon_Hunters and god damn it #Netflix, between this and #Nimona... The Owlbear really needs you to stop making animated films that make them cry.
(Although Nimona had me straight bawlin' like an owlbearlet, K-Pop was pretty awesome...)

Talking about things that are easier to read for me, though:
I've heard that both, the Netflix "Nimona" movie as well as the graphic novel / comic it's based on is supposed to be good, so, I'll give the graphic novel a try and aquire the movie afterwards. As the latter is a Netflix production, I assume there's no bluray release.
But well!
From a first look, I don't love the graphic novel's artstyle, I prefer the look of the movie trailer, but it's fine, and I'm looking forward to see if it's as good as people say!

Je viens de regarder Nimona.
Et j'ai bien aimé.
On retrouve des thèmes de la différence des autres et comment elle est culturellement rejetée.
Y'a du queer, et du joyeux chaos.
Je recommande. -

Unsurprisingly, one of our favorite movies is Netflix's #Nimona. It exudes trans. Highly recommended.

Movie Review 6: Nimona
Been on the list for a while. Characters are cool and Nimona is just a chaos demon! Enjoyed it. Light hearted and a bit daft with really cool visuals.
The dogs are pink.
7/10

Also I just connected the dots that the people behind #Nimona (the animated movie) are for the most part members of the former Blue Sky Studio that gave us the Ice Age series.
This explains a lot.

Watching #Nimona again (middle kid's down from college and had not seen it yet)...
I forgot just how masterful the #animation is. The slow side-eyes, head turns, comedic interruption. The timing is just amazing. And blocking, and acting, and lighting...
