I should really document this setup.
Playing music with #MusicPlayerDaemon on my #Marantz controlled through a #VT420, both from around 1990.
Software is #MPD on #Debian on an #RPi 2. Soundcard is some cheap old usb Soundblaster, but using #lirc I can control MPD using its controller.
This all took some effort. 😌

Greetings DuckDuckFedi, I am looking for your advice once more.
I have a raspberry pi connected to a sound system in our main room.
I would love to have some kind of music server where one could:- Add musics to a queue:
- As a regular file uploaded to a given interface
- As a link to a music file
- As a link to a music website (Youtube, soundcloud...)
- As a playlist (
pls,m3u)
- With either a web interface (can be an other project) or a client you may install on Windows/Linux/Android.
From what I saw, the closest to what I'd like would be either to have some kind of webradio setup, or to use
mpdand some of the frontends available.Do you have any recommendation? :boosts_ok:
It would allow people we invite to add their own musics to the playlist, like what Spotify jam.

Things about computers you don't want to know: I had reinstalled, reverted to the Debian Stable of #MusicPlayerDaemon and things worked, however, the playlist was only Pearl Bailey's original cast South Pacific, and Julie Andrews Sound of Music. It's rebuilding. But why only keep those two?
