#GraveOfTheFireflies is coming to #Netflix. It is truely one of the great works of #Ghibli. But I bears mentioning. While this can be a sweet tale of a brother trying to care for his sister in Japan after WWII, it is heartbreaking.That said, I believe it should be watched -at least- once. Similar to #Godzilla #MinusOne, it shows postwar Japan, & what ppl went thru that's not often talked about.

Holy shit, Godzilla Mine One blows away the hype. This was a legit good movie on it's own, above and beyond our beloved Japanese monster. I am so glad it won and Oscar. Even if you hate Godzilla or monster movies, you should watch this one.

I saw something interesting recently linking a bit of #maths with #computing.
The #DivergentSeries 1+2+4+8+᠁ = -1. To the uninitiated, this may seem crazy and completely devoid of meaning. However, look at the two’s complement representation of negative numbers. In particular, if you had a computer with arbitrary precision, you would get the binary representation -1 = 11111᠁ which is also the sum above.
