You're buying into the narrative of the thin blue line that without the state and police people would become violent. Most people are worried about warlords after dismantling the state but thats the situation were in right now
If you have power of any kind it will concentrate over time that is a material force "checks and balances" dont mean anything its just fancy words and procedures, violence is the root of all political power

minarchist: you are made to believe that you need the state for all kinds of things, that have long been provided by non-state means.
also minarchist: by the mechanics if statism, it's basically guranteed that state intervention benefits a few at the cost of many.
also also minarchist: OBVIOUSLY we NEED the state to provide property law! otherwise we would get terrible injustice!
