  1. MFOS Sound Lab Mini-Synth PLUS

The MFOS Sound Lab Mini-Synth PLUS (SMD version) is an Eurorack adaptation of Ray Wilson's classic Sound Lab Mini-Synth PLUS, itself a substantially enhanced evolution of the original Sound Lab Mini-Synth (SLMS). This conversion is part of the official effort by SynthCube to bring the Music From Outer Space (MFOS) analog synthesizer designs into the Eurorack modular format. […]

  2. And so here are my design notes.

This is essentially my take on the Music From Outer Space power supply (links and references in the post) but with an added 5V line too and three connectors ready to go.

  7. Today's #soldering progress on my single buss 1V/oct keyboard, the controller part. Only missing the electrolytic and poly capacitors, some wiring and connectors.

    Schematics from #MFOS:

I did the key part for one octave previously, and modified the schematic for the parts I have available. The key part will be chainable, so I can add more octaves if everything works fine.

  12. My next #diysynth project: a dual #VCA, inspired by #MFOS.
While #prototyping it on a solderless #breadboard, I wasted some time to issues with resistors not making contact due to thin legs.
    Now I'm #soldering it to a #perfboard.
In future, I'll use ½W resistors with thicker legs than my usual ¼W ones.
I wonder if this is just a sign of low quality breadboards or a general issue...
