  1. Since it'll take some time for the PCBs to arrive, I decided to make a #prototype on #perfboard. It works fine, and I can test my programs using it. Turns out an #ATtiny814 is good enough for the task.
The #WS2812B #SMD #LEDs are very bright, though, and reducing brightness also reduces the possible color range.
The different color shadings are not very distinguishable, yet. I might have to adjust the color palette.

  2. The last module of my #diysynth that I had on breadboard is now soldered to a #perfboard. It's a #LFO with triangle and square wave output, with shape #potentiometer that changes the triangle wave towards sawtooth or ramp, and the duty cycle of the square wave between 5% and 95%.
It has two speed settings with 0.12 to 5.3 Hz, or 1/80th to 0.5 Hz frequency. I might build a second one with different capacitors for higher frequencies.

  3. After failing to create a #symmetric #powersupply using an OpAmp and BJTs to split 24V by forming a virtual ground, I went the easy route. Two #BoostConverter set to 12V each are connected in series with the center being ground. This way I get symmetric +/-12V. Of course I don't rely on the #battery protection, but rather use a 900mA #PPTC #fuse per rail. Also a switch and some LEDs as indicator. Enough #JST sockets for my upcoming #synth projects.

  4. I decided to redo the DIY #shield. Now I'll be able to connect four I²C sensors using #JST connectors. The Bluetooth module will be repositioned, too. The resistors were replaced by #SMD ones, to save space.
I only have to decide which pins to use.
