@jramskov I think so. I didn’t do too much with it yet, but I forked a #maubot plugin and adapted it to my needs with an LLM in minutes. I only looked at the changes, didn’t find any issue, now I’m using it. I didn’t not dare to make a pull request yet as I think there’s a bit of unnecessary code in it and I didn’t want to waste tokens to remove it ;)

Because sendmail-to-matrix and matrix-commander, etc, are having problems with verification, I scraped together a quick utility to send messages to a matrix room from the command line using Maubot and webhooks:

My personal laptop, which runs @ubuntu, is on a shamefully old version and is clunky. So I took my Windows device from work. I'm a bit ashamed to take it out and use it. But it's not the only Windows system in the house. And at least mine now has Windows Subsystem for Linux, thanks to the #Maubot workshop.

Finally, I have installed the Matrix, and it's working fine. As an admin, I have created two spaces and invited a few users -- made from the command line. Next, I have to work on more configs, such as email via SMTP (probably SMS, too), SSO, a bridge with Mastodon and Skype etc.
One of the most important things I am looking at is BOTs. At first, I have to figure out how to get alerts from GitLab/GitHub for their PRs, commits push etc., to a Matrix channel. One related library I have found is called "Maubot". But, wonder how others are doing it?
Please post your suggestions if anyone has done an integration like this or similar alerts. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

#Element #UX is so aggressively cumbersome in some places.
How joining a room could work:
- Enter the room name with instance info (#maubot:maunium.net) into the search bar and press enterHow it actually works:
- Press the "explore rooms" compass
- Press the drop-down "Matrix rooms (matrix.org)"
- Click "Add a new server ..."
- Add the server address ("server NAME" in the UI)
- Select the newly added server from the drop-down
- Enter the room name in the search bar
- Select the room
