Best of luck to the #MastoAdmin out there installing 4.2.6 today. Check the #Mastowatch directory (doesn’t require Pro!) to see how quickly the big servers are updating and who still needs to.

Seeing a ton of servers upgrade to #Mastodon v4.2.5 already. Quick and easy to scroll through the directory in #Mastowatch and find any stragglers. It hasn’t even been 24 hours though and I’m not seeing many! The security fix in v4.2.5 is being adopted really quickly.

Hey! I’m almost a year old! Thank you so much to everyone who supported #Mastowatch this year. I *never* expected this project to resonate with even a dozen people and you’ve all been great. I continue to get a little jolt of excitement every time I see that someone has mentioned Mastowatch because everyone has been so positive and especially willing to share and recommend the app.

#mastowatch is a pretty sweet little app that provides all sorts of info on various fediverse instances/servers. One of the more interesting pieces of data it collects is the list of blocked servers for a particular instance. Cool to see the perp lists haha

My favorite Mastodon client (#Ivory) got custom emoji support today! I’m partial but it pairs very well with the Custom Emoji report in #Mastowatch. Use Mastowatch to check out what emoji a server has before you register or move your account and rest assured you’ll be about to use them in @ivory.

I like this place. It’s good. Feels like weird Twitter circa 2013, which is v rad.
And also..
Things that daily impede my Mastodon experience:
- no keyword search
- no search for multiple hashtags
- no date filters
- muted + blocked accounts still appear
- no ability to personally mute en entire instance that’s federated to my home
- blocking filters only for hashtags
- no easy access to view timelines + trending from other instance POV (although #mastowatch helps)
- no ‘historic’ trending -
I’ve been collecting some great #stickers recently. Thanks to @developerjustin for a #mastowatch sticker. And I just couldn’t pass up a chance to get #calckey stickers before the name changes. @b0rk sticker sheet is so amazing that I just can’t bear to take any off! 😅

@ybaumy In der Regel verwenden wir Studiolink für das Audio und Watch2Gether für die Synchronisierung von Videos, da kann dann auch jeder Pause/Play drücken und es läuft für alle das gleiche. Dieses Mal haben wir die WatchParty von AmazonPrime verwendet, das klappt auch, wobei nur der Host Pause/Play machen kann und alle den Film gekauft/geliehen haben müssen. @bertrandterrier @christoph

@ybaumy Danke. Ich kannte den Film noch nicht, @bertrandterrier schon. War sehr faszinierend und spiegelt die Realität eines Aspekts der Gesellschaft insofern wieder, als dass er nicht ignoriert, sondern in den Fokus der Erzählung gesetzt wird. Hast Du auch mal Lust auf Social Watching? Vielleicht mal in größerer Runde mit @bertrandterrier @christoph und mir?
