Nach einer sehr langen Pause gebe ich #masseffect #masseffectandromeda noch einmal eine Chance. Nachdem die Trilogie einer meiner besten Spiele-Erfahrung war. Ich hab es damals angefangen und dann schnell weggelegt. Keine Ahnung warum. Mal schauen, wie es dieses Mal läuft.

I can’t believe #Bioware never fixed the bugs in the “Earn Your Badge” task. And for some reason the old workaround doesn’t work anymore either.
Even if you make sure to pick off all the little Remnant first and save the Destroyer for last, and beat the Angaran spec ops best time, it still fails and says you didn’t, and the task just doesn’t complete. If you take out the Destroyer first, it just keeps claiming you only got 14 out of 15 Remnant, and the task just won’t complete.
This is so unbearable.

Never mind that the Remnant Architect itself is a (very, very, verrrryyy) thinly veiled metaphorical embodiment of Narcissism, with its Flying Monkeys and all, masquerading as a robot-space-dragon that doesn’t belong in the #MassEffect universe in the first place
This is a serious bug. Four times in a row I’ve defeated Kadara’s Remnant Architect on #InsanityMode and the moment it’s defeated both Ryder’s health and shields instantly drop to zero, and it sends me back to the very beginning of the battle
The main reason I hate Kadara so much is because the whole planet is half-assed and buggy, with major narrative inconsistencies repeated several times. But THIS?? What the actual fuck?? A showstopper bug like this shouldn’t even be in a closed playtest version, let alone the very last release version.
Does anyone know if there’s a workaround?

Skeldah is perhaps my most favourite system in the whole Heleus Cluster. It’s not just stunningly beautiful—it’s perfect.
I only wish I could land on every planet in the system and freely explore… sadly there’s no landing zone on any planet in the system.

Sure. I got through it. I achieved 100% viability of Kadara, but I feel no sense of accomplishment whatsoever. I hate the whole planet so much I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to play this game again after this playthrough. I’m talking sick-to-the-pit-of-my-stomach and periodic-bouts-of-PTSD-rage hate. The kind of hate that ruins a game forever.
It’s not just the disgusting and vile bottom-feeding characters that dominate the landscape. It’s not just the sloppy level design and buggy missions, some of which are impossible to complete because of outstanding bugs. It’s not even the propensity of the game to cheat when the player is performing too well on #InsanityMode…
It’s the complete lack of linearity to progression and difficulty scaling—you go nowhere nowhere nowhere for the whole of Kadara, not earning any AVP or XP worth mentioning the entire time, trapped on this plateau of tedium without reward or purpose until you’ve finally suffered through the whole goddamn miserable waste of a planet, and chosen a side between either a traitor or a backstabber. It’s not even a morally ambigupus choice. The only moral choice isn’t available to the player.
In any case, I’m so glad it’s over because I never want to step foot on that stinking filth-pit ever again.
Aw shit I still have Drack’s goddamn loyalty mission to deal with. Fuck!

I’ve hit this really frustrating “playwall” in #MassEffectAndromeda on #InsanityMode at Level 20, where I’ve run out of missions and locations with which to gather XP and crafting resources, so can’t get the Tier 4 weapons and armor I need to actually take on the next stage of the main storyline…
I mean. I could certainly TRY to rescue the Moshae with a Tier 3 loadout. But.

Reached Level 18 simultaneous with the restart of Havarl’s vault just now, and it’s not like I can blame it on skill or anything.
On #InsanityMode that was completely by the skin of my teeth. Ryder can’t even physically run fast enough to grab the rem-tech and make it back to the console before the purification field kills the whole squad. And just how many times am I expected to watch Jaal and Peebee die in horrible gasping agony before I either find a way through or never play a #MassEffect game ever ever again, anyway??
So I biotic-blinked myself the whole way there, grabbed the loot and leapfrogged onto the platform, over the turret, off an observer, and over the barrier wall, and jammed that console in Homer’s name.
Okay, sure, that one scene was an Odyssey and a half on its own. But I do mean Simpson. There’s no way in hell that should’ve worked.
